It seems the author has a bent toward evolution and controvery -- potentially pushing his own agenda. Wikipedia has a few of his controversies listed -- including race & intelligence and other items. I'd be suspect of any pile of data from 7th - 12th grade age students. The reliability of their feelings, ideals, and how their world is shaped at that age is anything but reliable for long-term conclusions about society.
