Important thoughts on Glee.
These really are important thoughts, and I will need the blogosphere to help me work this out.
I am conflicted. And I mean pretty conflicted, about the new show on Fox,
I liked the pilot, you just cannot go wrong with “Don’t stop believin’†by Journey. Beautiful eighties cheese. Never goes bad. But I digress.
I was even looking forward to the first episode of the season. Then they did it. They had an entire football team perform “Single ladies†by Beyonce after breaking huddle in a game! Now, I am no expert in High School football rules, but I happen to know that the National Federation of State High School Associations (wrap your head around that name) would say that they would have received a whole slew of flags for that. Then the other team is so confused and distracted that our football playing dancers are able to score? Really?
Okay, but that is not my problem.
My problem is that I am already feminine enough and I don’t think really getting into Glee is going to help me toughen up my image at all.
Don’t get me wrong, I am a big fan of MMA, and split firewood every winter. Based on those critical characteristics, I am a dude.
But, I almost always cross my legs when I sit in a chair. I wear a fair amount of pink, and not always the kind you could call salmon. I mean pink. Right there is another one, I know that salmon and pink are really close to each other. I kind of like it when my shoes match what I am wearing. And I guarantee you that if I didn’t shave my head bald, I would use product.
And none of that bothers me. Well, I wish I wasn’t bald. But I am cool with the rest, but I really need to consider carefully whether or not I should really lock into something else that, well we can all at least agree, doesn’t scream masculinity.
So, help me out here. Do I risk it being the start of a slippery slope that ends with me watching
Thoughts?

1Dude, just embrace your inner woman and enjoy the show.
After all, we all know when you listen to “Single Ladies” get yourself pumped up and ready to preach.

2Just embrace it. I rolled my eyes during the the football scene too, but that episode really introduced Puck as a potentially interesting character. As long as this show keeps it’s edge, it’ll be a winner.

3Correct me if I’m wrong but didn’t you say at one time you already use product to make your head shiny? So just go ahead and embrace your love for Glee, it’s totally worth it.

never sat and watched the show, but truthfully I guess you should just accept the fact that you like musicals.
